Sewer Collections Operator
Liberty Lake Sewer and Water District No. 1
The Liberty Lake Sewer and Water District No. 1 is seeking a Sewer Collections Operator for the District’s Water/Wastewater Operations. The District is located 17 miles east of Spokane Washington and 3 miles from Idaho state line. The District is governed by a 3 member Board of Commissioners. The District has 14 employees including the General Manager, office, WRF and field staff. The Water/Wastewater Operations Sewer Collections Operator functions as a multi-skilled professional who performs and coordinates a variety of specific and non-specific jobs related to operation, maintenance, customer service, and on-call emergency service of the District’s sewer and water facilities. This position is focused on the District’s sewer collections system, but may also be involved and on-call for the water distribution system. Job Functions: This position performs a variety of duties in support of the District’s wastewater collection system and water distribution system.
Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. The Water/Wastewater Operations Sewer Collections Operator must have appropriate knowledge of the construction and maintenance of sewer collection and water distribution systems, public health and water quality requirements and cross connection control. The Sewer Collections Operator must have the ability to use a variety of potentially hazardous tools safely and efficiently, including knowledge in the use and maintenance of motor vehicles and in the use of hand and power tools. Personal communication skills are essential to interact with individuals and customers. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, LT Disability, Life and AD&D. LLSWD contributes 7.65% of employee compensation to 401(a) in lieu of Social Security and will match employee 457(b) contributions 100% up to 6% of compensation (also to the 401(a)).
